Knowing that we can't create accounts, are you currently in a blacklisted country or behind a proxy? If the answer is yes to the former, your best option is to check back periodically to see if the country you're in has been removed from the blacklist. If the answer is yes to the latter instead, disable the proxy and try again.

We do periodically review the blacklist to see if it should be updated (countries added/removed); I'm not part of the review process for it however, so again the best I can recommend is to check back periodically to see if the list has been updated.

The list hasn't been updated for a while.
Honestly, I don't see why some people tried to challenge the rules in the first place. They probably wouldn't steal someones ID card in real life but they would steal someones info using some phishing site.
If they would just acknowledge that this is a free service and the rules are there to prevent X10 from copyright issues and such, these restrictions wouldn't have to be in place and it wouldn't have to be ruined for the others who won't break any. Unfortunately, we can't tell who's good or not.
