I want to create a subdomain

Nobody is replying me with a correct answer. I want to create a subdomain like links.fusionhost.biz the domain to be hosted on external server and subdomain to be hosted on x10 account. I have tried using parked domains and then create a subdomain name but it still doesnt work. please tell me how can i create subdomain?

- To host a sub-domain alone in X10Account, you need to create a A record.
- Create A record links.fusionhost.biz pointing to 74.86.116.190
- Creata a directory links in your public_html directory.
- Create an Add-on domain "links.fusionhost.biz" pointing to the directory you just created.
