Am I able to setup another hosting account? I want to use one for my website of free stuff (I.e. a network of websites that have different free things to download, e.g. one of the sites is stock photos, one of them old games etc.) and setup another hosting account to make my family website?

Is that allowed?

Cheers and good on you X10 for a fantastic service,

Try taking a moment to read the TOS that you agreed to when you signed up for your first account. I bet your answer is clearly written there. :)

But, in case you don't feel like it :

1. Server Usage
Personal accounts are to be used by the primary owner only. Personal account holders are not permitted to resell, store or give away web-hosting services of their website to other parties. Web hosting services are defined as allowing a separate, third party to host content on the owner's web site. Exceptions to this include ad banners, classified ads, and personal ads. x10Hosting reserves the right to refuse service and /or access to its servers to anyone. Each individual is allowed ONE account only.

Get a member of your family to set up a new one for the family site - then you can [help them] design it, and they can upload it and update it

I think that's bordering on reule-breaking, but don't quote me on that. I think you and only you can manage your OWN account.

Just use subdoimains! For example, I got the most generic sub-domain of x10 I could think of. http://online.exofire.net

Now, I run a pixel advertising site, located at http://online.exofire.net/pixelads... so I set up the subdomain: http://pixelads.online.exofire.net for that site.

I also run a gaming clan site: http://clan.online.exofire.net

And an affiliate marketing site: http://online.exofire.net

See? Simple. You get 3 free subdomains with advanced ad-enhanced, that's usually enough. I just upgraded to corporate, and I'm hoping I get more. *logs into cPanel*

cPanel is the most n00b-friendly thing ever (well the frontend is), so just login and fiddle about with cPanel. I've never tried them but it appears there are video tutorials. Dunno if they work.

It's not rule breaking as long as the other person manages the account (you don't know their password etc), then you can design the site and give it to them to upload. There's no rule against hiring designers to make your site.
But the above method is probably much better.

PS I don't think pixel advertising is popular any more, after one person has done it, it's over

One account per person. If a family member makes/manages the account, that's fine as long as they have one account. If additional support is needed, please feel free to re-open this.
