If you just watch for the actual posts and not the ones from users posting, they do post most of them there too, albeit not every single one - the recent moves only did the Important Updates For All Free Users thread, which honestly is about all most folks would need anyways - that page explained everything and what to do, although you're right, most folks didn't bother to read it either.
