Ideal logo/header size?

Just looking for opinions here:

My website has a header with the a height of 150 px, but the embedded logo is probably only 50 px. A friend just developed his own logo but it seems obtrusive with a 100 x 150 px dimension.

Is there a standard for logo (and/or header) dimensions on a webpage?

There isn't really ever an outright ideal size, it really depends on your website and how the logo fits into it. If you post a link to the page then we could better access the size limits/requirements.
