If really want to develop a game online, anyone is the same?

What Language?

Mainly use Java and C++

but the client have 2 layer might use standard interface, COM or XML to enable any language can be used as programing language.
the main problem is the performance.

any idea on P2P or Distributing solution on this project?

Hehe, I love Java...Knowlege is great but PHP is better in my knowledge.
