We're making motors, looks kinda like this:

My favourite hobby.... electrical designs.... But currently in another favourite domain... so no time to study about these things.

Thats funny, because I'm in engineering class right now. I'm not at the electronics station though. But we have a sub, and we aren't really working anyways.

GTG to spanish class :thefinger

yeah, electronics are awesome, especially deigning printed circuit boards from scratch. It's kinda useless but its pretty cool to say "hey see that, yeah I built it".

I would also love to get into those specifics. I a read book about what your learning but it was about the wiring sort of electrical book, not about circuit boards, ect. When you get in to motion sensor switches, you could really scare some people on Halloween. I wanted to make a motion sensing air gun, but I didn't have enough time.

I already done some motion censor things. You know those toys who when you go past them, they start the alarm? I took out the screws, cutted of the speaker of it's cords, and put a red LED there instead, so when anyone went past, the LED would Light for 6 seconds. I was like 11 when I did that

You know what would be great with one of those now? Make like an electrmagnet circuit so when the alarm goes off, it makes a piece of metal colide with the button on an air horn. So if you put it in the bushes, and somebody walked by, they would get the crap scared out of them.

That would be a great Halloween!!!

How does a motor actually work then??

In Electronics at the moment, I am making a motion sensor which when it detects motion, it starts a motor tgoing and turns on an LED and I'm going to put a white sheet over it with eyes drawn on :
So then when it detects motion the ghost with start shaking and flashing :)

Oh I wish I had my old science book with me. I can still show you.

When the polarity changes, it pushes/pulls on the magnet in the middle, making the magnet (and a shaft connected to it) spin.

Thats mean to the 3 year olds who come to my house, but I might do that to my brother one day... (deathpie) Instead, I would like to automate a ghost or an air gun just to startle them. I hide in the bushes to scare people sometimes.

When I was in 6th grade, I wanted to make an automatic generator for my science fair project, that has a rechargeable battery to start it up. I realize now that it would never work, but it was a nice idea. I wanted to make a generator that is powered by the power it produces, with a rechargeable battery starting the process. Now I realize that is against the laws of physics because the generator can't produce more energy than is put into it, but at least I have all the spare parts my mom got for it.

Another idea I had was when I was scared of the dark (no laughs!) to make a machine to turn off the lights from my bed. So, I disassembled a toy car and took the huge motor out. Then, I duck taped it to my poor wall quite badly and super glued a stick with a marble at the end to it. I ripped all the wires I could find out of everything to place the on switch for the motor at my bed. When I pressed the button at my bed, the motor would activate and hit the switch with the marble to turn it off. It turns out that the wires was so badly put together the electricity never reached the motor, and I had to repaint my room

PS: I like taking things apart.
