importing my db

i want to import my old db but i don't know how. can someone please give me step by step instructions? i'd really appreciate that :blushing: if you can have screenshots, much much better! :grin:

Do you have it backed up in a .sql yet?
If so go to Cpanel click PhpMyAdmin select the database on the left. Go to the top click SQL go to the bottom you'll see an upload select the .sql file and select go.

question though: why is that the zipped sql results into an error and sometimes, uploads of the uncompressed sql file gives an error...maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded or something.
