Incredibly slow website - and its not my connection or settings

Hi all,

So, just to give some background. I have been moved to new server. I went through the same things we all been going through the last 10 days. Its been hell. Finally, it looks like it is finished...or..maybe not.

I have wordpress installed on my domain. When I tried to log in this morning it gave me a database error. Not to worry, I remember seeing settings to correct this. I went and added the new hosts to remote SQL hosts. Fixed. And I'm thinking, rad!

But now I find that my Wordpress is i n c r e d i b l y s l o w.
Its painfully slow. In fact, it hasnt even loaded my posts page in the time its taken me to write this thread.

I'm convinced this has something to do with the remote SQL hosts?? (since I had to add them to get wordpress to work)

Is there a fix for this or what am I to do??

There are still some final adjustment being made to the Fris server which is causing some occasional slow loading on websites and possibly other temporary problems. Staff is working hard to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.
