Hello!

So when I first made my website today, I uploaded WordPress via FTP and extracted it to a subfolder called Wordpress. Then I moved all of the files from the subfolder to the public_html folder and proceeded to install WordPress, no problem.

But now whenever I try to access my website via the plain old URL, it tries to redirect me to the /wordpress folder I had extracted it to originally, and then it tells me that 'the page does not exist'. Well, no shit.

How can I get the site to treat the URL as the main page, and stop trying to use this deleted subfolder automatically?

Thanks in advance!

you need to set the new URL in your blog or CMS software -:- usually named "Site URL" or something similar on its configuration page (for Wordpress it is in general > settings section)

the options to look at are "WordPress Address (URL)" and "Site Address (URL)"

In Site Settings the URL is already correct. Is there anywhere else I could fix this?
