So I have uploaded my files up to file manager into a public file. Right now it just shows an index page. (screen shot attached below). Is there something I am missing. This is my first website, I am new to this. Would appreciate any help.

A .swf isn't directly sent to the user, usually. create a file called "index.html" and embed your .swf in it :)

Make sure you are uploading to the public_html directory. If you can’t see your files with your browser, clear your cache.

You need a file called index.html/htm/php.

A video is not a valid index file.
You need to embed it into a html/php/htm page, then call that page index.

Let me know if you need any help.

You could make it an index, but I'd say it's a better practice not to :D

Exactly. Another good point is not everyone can play back .swf files or has them enabled by default.
I try and avoid swf becuase it *Needs* a flash player of some sort (usually adobe) and not everyone has it, or can install it. I try and use .gif's as much as possible, but sometimes a video is necessary.
