They will automatically expire. If you look at your profile you should be able to see when they are due to expire.

They are basically warnings.
After a certain number you will get automatically banned I think.

Different infarction reasons have different amounts of points. The higher the number of points the worse to offence. So and infarction for spamming gives you 5 points etc. Once you get 25 points (I think it's 25, not sure) you will be automatically banned for a while.

So 5 Spamming infarctions means a temp ban.

yes thats right if you get over 25 points worth of infractions you will get temp banned until enough infractions expire that you get under the 25 point mark

if you have 20 points of expired infractions. And get 5 more posts. Do you get a temp ban or do you need 25 points of active infractions?

Can't infractions also mute your posts or place them in a moderation queue?

The points must be from active infractions. You will be temp banned will you have 25 or more active points.
