Inquiry About WordPress Staging and Upgrade Options

Hello everyone,

We're planning to redesign our website and considering the best options. (our domain is on x10 and website is built on WordPress.)

One idea is to upgrade our WordPress account to include a staging site. This means we'd build the new site on the staging platform and then make it live using the same URL.
Please provide information on the requirements for this? Also, does x10 offer a WordPress package upgrade like GoDaddy does for staging? If yes, then is there any downtime?, whom do I reach out to?

Open to hearing any other solutions as well.

x10 hosting by default does not provide any script support.
they also have a strict 1 account per IP address which may be an issue.
x10 hosting does not offer wordpress extras or package upgrades

Softaculous provides an option to create a staging version of Wordpress after installing the initial Wordpress.

That Softaculous article talks about existing sites, as that is the only way to do it, you would need to have an installation first before you can create a staging
