Cache memory is the RAM onboard the CPU (in essence). You will notice a big

difference in the 1MB of cache.

If you can buy an athlon x2 6400+. They are about 180 now. 3.2GHzx2 is

nuts.

Also try the q6600 for about 225. Very good processors. The E4500 is not

very good, the 4400+ is probably a bit better.

thank you for clearing that up
i was thinking about buying a 5200+ later because they have 2 megs of cache...
my friend has a laptop with T5450 c2d and a 8800GTS video card for laptop
and he says he can play crysis with settings on medium... now my processor frequency is higher than his but he has more cache
is the 5200+ better than the T5450?
he has his NVIDIA GeForce Go 8800 GTS graphics with up to 512MB discrete GDDR3 video memory
what card can i get that will run a little better or the same as his i want something under $200
thanks

The Intel 5450 is a mobile processor. Is it actually quite terrible. The 5200 Will kick its arse. Get the

6400+. It is a 3.2GHz Dual Core for 180 Bucks! It is a steal!

Also either get the 8800GT or the 9600GT.

8800 is better but a bit more expensive (512MB Version) the 9600GT is close and is a bit cheaper.

Hope this helps!
