Internal Server Error Message?

We have received the message below while trying to access our website...

"
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an Error Document to handle the request."

To my knowledge we have not made a recent changes so wondering what is going on and how to fix it?

Hi,

Your .htaccess file contains a line that uses the "SetEnv" command, which isn't supported. If you open up the .htaccess file in public_html, and remove the SetEnv line (line 2), your site should load.

Many Thanks for your speedy and accurate reply. Line commented out and this problem was resolved.

Leaves us with other issues as we are reliant on using UK time settings on our website and this change affects that.

Hi,

WordPress has an option in the "General" part of the Settings section to change your installation's timezone, which should fix that for you.
