Internal Server error?

Okay, i just got done setting up my site...and now occasionally, i get a page that says intenal server error. the only thing i did was mess with the HTACCESS, and right now that file is blank. What did i do, and how do i fix it?

i get it on occasionally....like when i click on the blog posts, i somtimes get it.
