I guess I was a fool, but thought that IE8 wouldn't have been so wrong that it is causing me to have to reload Windows. It gave an error, telling me that a .dll file was either corrupt or missing. Using DOS, I determined that it was present, but didn't have a way to replace it. I took it to my GURU at work, who replaced the file, but it still gives the same error. He is now planning on reinstalling Windows, which will loose an awful lot of software for me. Some of my software was downloaded off the Internet and I might have lost the original disks for others.
