Hello all,
I am a (largly) self taught programmer, studying Electronic Engineering at University.
Good knowledge of: C, C++, Java, PHP, SQL, some Assembly, a few other quirky languages too.
Switching to this hosting service, since others have changed their platform recently and developing has become a bit of a pain when you have a cached squid proxy in your way, because it appears to offer a very good free platform community that appears to support a good web service standard. Used to co-admin a popular gaming website, writing our own bespoke modules and security fixes for PHPNuke, and managing the games servers.
Passtimes include:
Guitar - very much in to rock and metal and generally the very techincal players
Electronics - mainly audip orjects for example building my own custom guitar effects pedals
Programming - largely web development and throwing around ideas for applications
Gaming (occasionally)
Hoping to create a useful website, writing everything from scratch, for computer scientists/developers and electronic engineers a-like.
Jim,
