IP Issue

Hi,

I don't think there are any posts like this, but I can't really tell because IP is too short to return any results from the search.

I used DNS watch to check my sites URL (74.86.240.236). When I got it though, it brought up the cPanel "congratulations you can see this page etc" message. As it also says, "If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved." I was hoping somebody could tell me what I need to do so that the IP will direct me to my page's actual content.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You're in a Shared Server. You can't have an IP for yourself.
The IP you're seeing is an IP from the server, and it's shared by many hosting accounts.

In retrospect that was brutally obvious. I feel incredibly stupid for not realizing it. Thanks though, I certianly appreciate your quick response.
