Is My Computer Good

Hi

I was just wondring if the pentium 3 processor is good. I have a P3 633MHz Celeron Processor and I have been using it for like 5 years. I am even running XP Pro. 192MB RAM and 32MB Video Card 2X20GB HDD and DVD ROM, CD Writer. I am somtimes running a Web Server on this thing. Is my Computer good? It cosed like Rs. 100,000/- ($1000) back in the year 2000

P3 was a great processor 6 years ago. Now its P4 or even better, 64 bit processors.

Yup. I would reccomend you to get an upgrade with everything. But do not do it now. Wait till Windows Vista comes and then re-build or buy a new computer. But for now your PC is under aged.

Yeah, he's right, wait till Windows Vista is out, and I would recommend you to buy a P4 with Ht Processor, it's really good.

Well, we will have to wait till then to try it out then, I hope it's at the begining of 2006.

In my opnion thats not that bad of a computer but i dont know about the P3. I think thats the only thing that should be upgraded along with a bit more memory other then that the graphics card and everything is alright just fine. Also i noticed you said Rs. Rupees?

I think the computer is good for now.
You should upgrade when vista comes out.Thats my plan since I expect faster pc's would be required.

Ohh man, Windows 98, you're right, you're really out of date. Why don't you buy a new hardrive?

Well I am very happy with my computer because the resent Motherboard Updrade made my PC faster than ever. I have 5 GB of Vertual Memory So no problem Windows XP runs like hell on my computer. My pc is faster than P4 because of this. I even have over 40 background Services running (E.g McAfee Virus Scan). And I would also like to say that McAfee Virus Scan is theeee best Virus SOftware ever found its has amost no impact on my computer. And Norton S*ck because when ever I get a Virus the frist thing it does is that it lets the Virus Desable it and let the Virus take over the computer. Then what I have to do is to get a new Version of Norton. And Norton is very hard on the computer. When I used it about 2 years ago My Computer always crashed when a big Game like MegaBot ran.

digitalfarm your computer is good. You need a beter Graphics Card that all.

That's what it is now after it's been upgraded. It used to be:

Win 95
P2 355 MHZ
64 MB Ram
8 MB Video Card
6 gig hardrive (split into [C:\ D:\ and E:\])
Another crappy old monitor

It's what I use. Plus I didn't mention that I have a non-admin account didn't I. I'm not allowed to do any installations or play any games really.

Well, I really don't think it's a good PC... Celerdão is what we'd call it (lerdo means slow in brazilian portuguese, lerdão means, then, REALLY slow). You may try to sell it, buy 1kg of meat and make a nice barbecue

Boy are you missing out on alot. I would say, upgrade. Thats just my opinion. Its still a good computer though

Dewayne, how do you do anything with Windows 3.1 I didn't even think there was an internet browser. I used to have it way back when.
