Is the free hosting sercure for ecommerce?

Is the free hosting secure to accept credit cards, etc. for an ecommerce site or would I need to upgrade to a paid site? I've done many searches and can't find anything on it. If there's a link to a discussion on this I'd appreciate it.

SSL Certificate is needed either way to accept credit cards, the certificate which handles the encryption.

No. Actully you could just use paypal to accept credit cards for ecommerce.
Depending on the script your using you can use paypal.

*Nods* PayPal would work, however, if I was going to host any site that makes money, i'd want it as secure as I could get it. And, also if stability is an issue, i'd also consider paid hosting.
