Is there a 16 megabyte file size limit for free web hosting?

I was trying to upload a 25mb flash movie to my web site. Once the FTP software reaches 16 megabytes the file stops uploading. I made a condensed version of the video that is 15.5mb and it does upload but has poor quality. I thought that maybe I had run out of space so I deleted about 75mb of files to make more space on my web site. Even after freeing up that space the upload stops at 16mb.

Thanks,

That's just the ftp file size limit to upload at one time. It has nothing to do with space. It's just a limit placed there to prevent abuse of the free hosting servers. Please log into your cPanel and then click on File Manager. Upload your file there. The limit in cPanel's file manager is higher than ftp.

The limit shown on the cPanel upload screen on Chopin shows 64MB. Haven't tested it.

Thanks for the reply. I will try the cPanel method. It is for a demo reel video that I want in high quality.
