Is this doable/allowed on my free hosting account? (Wordpress backup with Cron)

I am interested in automatically backing up my Wordpress database with a cron job as taught here: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/cron/

I was wondering if this is even possible on my free account (ad-free), before I even start looking into this?


OR will this suspend my account for high resource usage?

It should be fine. I run a similar script that backs up all 3 of my databases.
The best thing to do is to try it and see what happens.
