Is this normal?

I've only been a member here for a couple days, and already there's been a major server crash, a DDOS, and issues almost every time I try to log in. Is this typical? Is there something wrong these past few days, or should I expect a lot more downtime than was advertised? This site doesn't need to stay up 100% of the time, but I am shopping for a host for my business website and while I like the free hosting with no ads, I'm troubled by the service quality and would very much like to put my mind at ease.

Being optimistic is a wonderful attribute, but in the 2 weeks that i've had a site setup here
there has been extensive downtime, day after day. My optimism is fading:dunno:

I don't know what to say, who can predict these things?!
I have been frustrated by the downtime recently, especially as it all worked beautifully to begin with. However, I know those providing the service are working very hard to make it work.
And I still don't know of any other free hosting with php, MySQL databases and no forced ads (adfree server). As such, it is a great opportunity, so I'd encourage you to stick with it, wait and see if things improve. That's what I'm doing...
Work on your web design or something in the meantime.

There have been major problems with the servers and the staff are all working hard on it. Pretty good for a free service, so just be patient.

I've been here since Oct 2006. This days are the only ones I've seen all of this problems, but as Twinkie said, we're hard working on it.
