Resolved issues with cPanel

I was poking around my cPanel trying to figure out why a php server I run as a subdomain stopped running correctly at some point in the last 6 months. However, I seem to be missing a whole bunch of cPanel options, can't check what php version I'm running, things like that. A few years back, my cPanel changed themes on it's own, and there's no way using a screen reader for me to change it back myself. Any chance an admin could double check and make sure my cPanel's running the x3 theme rather than basic? Thanks in advance.

Indeed that would explain the difference in appearance.

If you made no changes your account would be running on php version 7.2 as that is the default in DirectAdmin.

Under "Extra Features" -> "Select PHP Version" you can change that to one of the others that are available, oldest is 5.6 (and that may have been what you had on the old server). If you need help setting a different version I'd be happy to do it for you.

Thanks. I just figured out how to check the php version myself, and I got it changed to 5.6, which my server definitely requires. However, popping onto the server's index page still generates a 403 forbidden message, so there's something else amiss in addition to the wrong php version. This server was running normally when I last briefly hopped on it in November I believe it was, and I'd made no changes to it at that time.

I just found where the logs are, I'll create a new thread, since those logs point to a problem completely unrelated to my cPanel question.

I sorted that out for you.

One reason was the permissions on the folder for the subdomain was wrong. I also enabled the more common php extensions for you since there was none enabled.

Ah ha, and the game server is now functioning correctly, not sure if it were those extensions that were the final issue, but once I changed my game server to point to the correct my sql database server address, everything was back up and running smoothly again! Thanks so much for your help!

Those extensions, at least some, would likely have been part of solving the problem (you didn't have mysql enabled so that alone would otherwise have caused a problem).
