Joomla - Mysql

Hello there!

I'm trying to install joomla by I get
"Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL" error when configuring the db.

I created a php test file and I get
" Access denied for user ..."


from the joomla error it looks like mysql is not running, but from my test file error looks like I'm typing the wrong user info.


I used the wizard to create a db and a user.
Triple-checked the typing

please help!

Several of the servers have been having intermittent problems with Apache (webserver) and with MySQL .

That is possibly the problem, especially if you cannot connect via PHPMyAdmin in cPanel.

Otherwise, make sure you used 'localhost' as the server name and that the user was given ALL PERMISSIONS when you attached him to your database.

Well, did you go under the cpanel, made a database, and liked the user to the database??
Try that.

yes I did!
I tried it manually and using the wizard.

my server is starka
