Hey guys..

So I just installed Joomla 1.6 on my site using the tool from Cpannel.. I can't remember the name... Softalious I think?

Oh well. So I bought a theme from Rocket Templates, now I need to install it, but every time I try to install it, the server freaks out and gives me a 500 Internal Error Page... It also gave me one for trying to use Joomla's built-in updater.

Has anyone had this problem? If so, how have you fixed it?

I think it might have to do with the resource limitations on the free accounts, but I want to know that if I upgrade I won't have this problem. x10 sent me an auto-suspend warning for High Resource Usage... but I don't know if it was because of Joomla or because I was uninstalling Joomla using Softalious?

:/

Howdy;
More information about High Resource Usage and high resource usage suspensions can be found in This Article .
You may wish to make sure that permissions are set correctly on your folders and files. Folders should be 755 and files should be 644.
You should not have any difficulty using Joomla and Joomla themes / templates on free hosting. Many others are using Joomla on free hosting. There may be some issues with high resource usage if you install a lot of mods or plugins, but, otherwise, it should work fine.
You may also want to consider completely removing your current installation and then make a fresh install manually. You can find information on this at Joomla . Joomla is very easy to install manually.
