I installed Joomla 3 on my x10hosting site with no errors. Log in as administrator is fine. Working in Joomla to create articles and menus is fine, no errors. But, when I view my web site only the Home page works. The other page links just get the 404 error. I looked in the public_html directory and sure enough the .html files that should have been written there by Joomla are not there. Also, the menu "buttons" are not correct. They are just links, stacked vertically.Being new to Joomla maybe I'm missing something. I worked in the demo site for some time and everything worked fine. Duplicated the steps here, but it doesn't work. There are no error messages anywhere along the way. The permissions for my public_html are 755. I'm thinking it is either an x10hosting issue or a configuration issue? I used Softaculous to install. Any help for the newbie here is appreciated. My site is: http://otbbalturas.x10.mx/ or http://oldtimebiblebaptist.com/

The CSS for the navigation bar doesn't match the markup. It appears that the style you want is attached to .nav-pills > li in the CSS file, but the class you actually have in the containing UL element is "menunav-pills". That means that although the list-style and so forth for the UL are right (they're set through an alternate path), the float: left; (and other styling) is never applied to the list items. It's a honkin' big stylesheet for a page of that complexity, and I don't know how much of the HTML is hand-crafted (at the page or template level) and what's machine-made, but I really hope for the sake of your sanity that it's mostly machine-generated.

I have no access to your account space, so I can't help you with the 404 issue.

Thanks for the help. The code was all generated by Joomla. I finally gave in and deleted and reinstalled and everything works fine now. Thanks again for the excellent detailed reply.
