Im far from an expert when it comes to the technical side of forum building, but i do have a curious streak, and love to learn. I will have to say now that even with this recent issue with the migrations, X10 is still the best FREE hosting ive found, when it comes to features and ease of operation, and the amount of abilities that each member has at their disposal.

My question for today is about web space, when looking at the CPanel, it appears that everything there takes up some of your allotted space even things like Softalicious, is that correct??

No. The applications you install from Softaculous will, of course, take up space, as will any backups created, but Softaculous itself does not (it belongs to the system). You will need to keep an eye on backups and logs, as well as on user files and directories (anything you've installed or uploaded) and your mail usage (don't keep messages on the server if you don't need them on the server, and it's not a good idea to use an email account on your hosting account as your primary email). Your temp usage will come and go (it's where sessions are stored, among other things, but the space will eventually be reclaimed); you shouldn't have to sweat that unless you're very close to your limit (if you have one). The things that are most likely to bite you if you're not paying attention are automated backups and error logs since they will grow without you doing anything.

Thanks for the reply, i need to clarify a couple of things though. When you say error logs are you refering to those on my forum software itself or on the Cpanel ? i cnat see a way for me to delete the ones on the CPanel. ?

I use an email account set up especially for my forum, which is ForumName@gmail.com is that wrong ?? or should i use whatever email address is on the software when its installed , I think its like admin@ForumName.x10.mx or something like that. The email dont work on the forum anyway, so i dont really care if i have one listed, except the one that shows on every members profile.

I dont use any automated backups that are part of the forum software, or on the cpanel, on occasion i may use phpMyAdmin to download my database to my computer. I dont use the backup feature in the CPanel at all.
