LaTex problems: PHP exec() and GhostScript

I would like to ask if the host supporting service can help me enable the PHP exec() command. I need it for my maths phpbb forum
And also, is the GhostScript already installed on our server?

My understanding is that exec() is permanently disabled.
No idea about GhostScript.
