I access cPanel via http://[mysubdomain].exofire.net:2082/ so I was unaware that system news is available at http://x10hosting.com/login

That was my shortcoming but I suspect that many of us ignore initial information from free hosts because we've tried numerous other free hosts before finding x10 and don't want to bother with the details until we've found that x10 isn't just a waste of time like the other free hosts we've tried.

That said, upon logging into http://x10hosting.com/login during the time that the SSL-Explorer problem was occurring, the Server Staus graphic seemed to indicate that there were no problems:

The message in the "Recent X10 News" section and at http://forums.x10hosting.com/news-announcements/46940-global-update-mysql-issues-etc.html#post272402
didn't seem to apply to those of us who don't use MySQL.

In the unlikely event that the identical situation were to occur in the future, a prominent notice (from the Admins, not from well-meaning users) that specifically addresses the issue users are seeing (SSL-Explorer, in this case) might deter the multiple threads asking about the same problem.

Not a criticism, just information that might be helpful in the future. :happysad:
