lightweight lan war game

Have a LAN with a couple of biddues we're about 10. i'm looking for suggestions on a war game that is not too demanding on computer resources like memory. some guys machines are abit on the low(256mb memory). A game that sorta met my criteria was Ghost recon-Advanced war fighter. but we have over played it.want something new.thanks for any ideas

Halo for the PC is a fun game to try, especially with mods. I've been able to run it on Intel-GPU based systems which are crap, so it can run on pretty crappy machines even if it does complain a little. You can get a trial version of Halo that lasts forever from sites like FileFront, CNET and Microsoft.com. All of the links are below if you are interested. On FileFront, you can find loads of fun mods for Halo Trial. I love the Battle Base Mod and n00bing with the needler on blue base :biggrin:

If your after shooting games, then definately CS:Source, wargames in general, try to get your hands on StarCraft or one of the RedAlert series, some of the best RTS games of all time in my opinion

Half-Life 2 runs fine on 256MB of RAM, but the issue with that is that it takes ages to load and chokes when the paging file fills up. My friend had that problem once with his computer until he bought more RAM.
