I just e-mailed approx 30 people today sending them to my new vision keeper site that your are hosting. I use a gmail account. I've starting getting replies saying the link in the e-mail I sent isn't working. Very bad first impression! The link I created in my e-mail was www.visionkeepr.x10.mx Any ideas what's happening? Without seeing the exact URL you used in the link and a description of what the visitors experience when they follow the link ("isn't working" isn't very descriptive; ask your visitors for details), the only thing that comes to mind is that domain changes (including initial set-up) can take a few days to percolate through the domain name system.

Perhaps lack of percolation was the problem. Links seemto be ok now. The URL I used is visionkeeper.x10.mx and when my first e-mails went out announcing the site several recipients said the got a "site could not be found" message.Thanks.

While I have your attention; I'm trying to create an ftp account in the x10 cPanel but it's not saving my info. I have a free account named visionkeeper.x10.mx and I can upload files using the File Manager without problem but can't ftp anything using Core FTP lite. Obviously i need an ftp account but the x10 cPanel isn't saving my info. Another percolation problem that time will fix? Thanks for any help.

The account comes with an FTP account.

You should be able to use:

Host: chopin.x10hosting.com
User: Your cPanel user name
Pswd: Your cPanel password
Port: 21

When I put the site FTP information in Core FTP Lite I get the following message

" the requested name is valid and was found in the database but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for"

Thanks,
Michael

Try your main domain rather that chopin. Also, try FTPS for greater security if your client supports it. The way the FTP server is configured, FTPS doesn't work with all clients, though it works with most. What happens if it doesn't work is that when you upload a file, it ends up having 0 size.
