Always clear your browser cache and history, close browser, reopen browser before checking on changes.

how did you actually updated your site?
Using Text Editor from File Manager?
Offline editing then uploading by FTP or file manager?

either way, try checking the file again on File Manager if the update went through.

if yes, then try as per what descalzo mentioned above although i think it will be updated almost instantly usually.
