when i upload the index.html page, will it go stright to the page from a browser

e.g
subdomain.x10hosting.com

and will get that page up?

or would PHP will b needed on all pages.

if not how would u put the full banners on?

index.html will be the page displayed when you visit your site URL.

I don't understand your question regarding the banner.

Look , if you put index , file , yes if you point the subdomain in your Browser then it loads the index.html , all it cares is index*.whateverextensions goes here (it could be .php , .asp , htm. html .wml ..It does not care , all it cares is the file Index or Home (in certain cases)
