For the last 2 months my site has said cannot connect to mysql, i know this is about the 5th time i have posted this, but can some body tell me if i have the mysql server as "localhost", is it the right name or as it changed in the last 2 months? and are there any other changes i need to make to any databases, config or any thing else that may be causing this. My site www.12dispatch.co.uk worked fine upuntill about a week before christmas, and i know there have been alot of changes made going backwards and forwards on different servers. Cheers, gareth

its localhost itself
check your username and passwords.
Is there any database prefix that you are using. If so verify that also.and post back here.

i can try to point out the mistake if you can post the details of you configuration script here.Hey do not post your password..

localhost is just localhost, nothing different.

maybe an issue with your script, most likely the username and password.
