Hi,

there have been a few months since the free hosting migration. During this process I lost the email account I had created as contact email for my site. In cpanel it reports that I have no email accounts, but within the simple theme it still reports that I do have one account although it gives no more information.

Is there any possibility to restore my email account or I should recreate it?

Hi,

I can't seem to find a hosting account linked to your forum account. Please could you link your accounts, by going to Support in the top right of your cPanel, or provide me with your cPanel username? :)

Thank you,

I really do not know how to connect my accounts, so my username is babis.tuc!

Thank you

Hi babis.tuc92,

I can't seem to find an account with that username. Please could I have your main domain name instead? :)

Thank you,

Hi,

I took a look into why this may be happening, and it appears that the files for your email account exist internally, but cPanel is not recognising the email account. I forced a refresh on the Basic control panel, and the bar you were seeing appears to have now returned to 0 email accounts.

I took a look in the mail account, and it seems that there are no emails in the mailbox, so it should be save to recreate the email account.

Please could you recreate the email account and let me know how it goes? :)

For your convenience, I've placed the old email account's internal directory in /babis-mail/, if needed. ;)

Thank you,

I've just recreated the account. It works through webmail. The only problem now is that I can not connect to the account through my client. I am using the recommended settings as presented in cpanel:

Secure SSL/TLS Settings
(Recommended)
Username: babis@maxomenoimhxanikoi.gr
Password: Use the email account’s password.
Incoming Server: xo3.x10hosting.com
  • POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: xo3.x10hosting.com
  • SMTP Port: 465
Could it need some time before it is accessible?
