I'm a bit lost in trying to upload my website and have the following questions:
-In my ftp settings, are the username and passwords the same as to get into my control pannel? And the host, www.starka.x10hosting.com ?
-how do I change my domain name from the one in my control panel to the one I want to be my website address, (already registered)?

first of:
for ftp you should use your cPanel user name / password and your domain as host (gilescornah.com)

For the second question, looks as you got it as gilescornah.com works for me.
