magic_quotes_gpc is currently enabled

Hi while insalling a program i encountered this issue.

"We're sorry, magic_quotes_gpc is currently enabled. magic_quotes_gpc is currently set to On in your PHP configuration file. Please change the value to Off, restart Apache, then run this test again. If you are running PHP as an Apache Module, you can change this setting by edititing the .htaccess file in the root directory of the ad server. CGI Mode installations will need to contact their web server administrators or hosting provider for instructions on how to modify this setting."

Is it possible for you to resolve this issue for me please, i cant seem to resolve this issue myself.

That setting is done on a server-wide basis and cannot be changed for individual accounts.

You can try posting in Feedback and Suggestions and try to convince Corey that they should change the default to OFF.

As much as I hate magic_quotes, it does help enforce a greater security on users who are creating MySQL queries without the knowledge of MySQL injection attacks. It is far from 100% safe, but it does help to have them turned on for that reason.
