Mail() Function Problem

A few days ago I requested the intermediate version of PHP, and I've got it, but PhpBB3 still says it's disabled..

Intermediate PHP Configuration - You currently have this version This version of PHP is much more relaxed in regards to security. More features are enabled compared to the default version.

• Mail(), eval() functions allowed...

I've got the email saying it's been updated, but phpBB3 gives this error:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions_messenger.php on line 410: mail() has been disabled for security reasons.
