whats about this new message when you start mail() function:
mail() has been disabled for security reasons

is this only temporary because of the updates or why isn't it available anymore???:rant2:

If you guys plan to disable it forever, is there another way to use it? like over a mailing smtp server or somehing?

thanks in advance

I now also realised that uploading files with a form is also not possible...
Whats wrong guys?

Edit:
found it out by myself...
for everyone that has the same problem, go to:
http://x10hosting.com/account
login with your forum login data
on the bottom left you can choose your php version and the standard version doesn't allow mail() and upload function!

this must be quite new, i use it nearly everyday and never had troubles!

Hello,

You need to upgrade to the Intermediate version. I am not sure why it was working before, because it shouldn't have been.

We rarely allow the Advanced PHP configuration.

As the problem is solved I'll close this. If you need more help feel free to re-open it.
