hi. my mail client recently stopped receiving and sending mail, so I logged into the webmail client and got this error,
Code:
There was an error sending your message: Failed to connect to localhost:25 [SMTP: Failed to connect socket: Connection refused (code: -1, response: )]

not sure whats gone wrong, any ideas.

From what I can see, SMTP is down on Chopin, which is where I am assuming you are. If your mail doesn't start working in a while, you can submit a ticket, but in situations like these, the staff are generally aware of the problem and fixing it already. Then your ticket isn't read until the problem is long fixed :p

It shouldn't, but I don't have a 100% dependable way of checking any service on any server. So, even though I'm very sure SMTP is down, something else related may be down as well. Or mail could be backlogged a long time and the emails are still in transit. It looks like it's just one of those unfortunate random downtimes for this one part of the server.
