Hi,

I have moved my main domain hosting elsewhere to trial and I wanted to know whether that will cause any problems for my add-on domains or redirects that I have in place?

Thanks,
G

Other add-on or parked domains should be fine, if you had any sub-domains under that domain you will probably have an issue.

Hi,

I'm a little confused as to whether this would be a problem for my sub-domains / add-on domains:
gagandeeptiwana.com and harjittiwana.co.uk

Both these were setup as add on domains however this also appear as sub-domains? When I upload files these websites are located within my main website?

Please advice me if this is an issue and how I can resolve it without any downtime/issues?

Thanks,
G

When you create an "Addon domain", it also creates (separately) a sub-domain for your main domain pointing to the same place as your addon domain.
As you've switched nameservers for your PRIMARY domain, this and all it's subdomains are the ones that will not point to x10hosting. Your addon domains will still work, as they're pointing to x10hosting.

Thanks for your response. Didn't fully understand whether there would be an issues with my addon / sub-domains - gagandeeptiwana.com and harjittiwana.co.uk however at present they both appear to be active.

However the email fowarding does not appear to be working e.g. - gagan@gagandeeptiwana.com is not being forwarded?

Also can I change my addon domain to now become the main domain and if so what would be the quickest way to do this?

Please advise?

Thanks,
G

Edit:
Hi,

I have now gone ahead and changed my main domain to gagandeeptiwana.com however even though I can access control panel via gagandeeptiwana.com:2082 the main domain still displays as gstenterprises.com?

I am now in the process of overwritting the public html folder with the full contents of gagandeeptiwana.com, however the email forwarding issue still appears unresolved?

"However the email fowarding does not appear to be working e.g. - gagan@gagandeeptiwana.com and info@harjittiwana.co.uk are not being forwarded?"

Please advise?

Edit:
Hi,

The email issue has now been resolved. As mentioned earlier, control panel still states Main Domain as gstenterprises.com why has this not been changed or am I being impatient?

The other problem I have is my now main domain gagandeeptiwana.com is still pointing to my old files which are within a subfolder - setup as a addon /subdomain, would it be safe to delete this and would it pick up the files from the main root public html instead? Should this not be the case already?

Would appericate a response?
Thanks,
G
