MAking a portal

So i want to make a portal.
Say i've done it its all uploaded.

And theres link on there for example to to the about page,
what do i need to create in file manager what file in what directory for this to work.

You need the starting page of your portal to be in either index.html or index.php - or, a file of that name which links to it but then they would need to click on something to see it.
