I just installed Mambo Open Source and I installed it into my root directory. The problem is when I refresh my home page, I get a 500 Internal Server Error. Can anyone help me get around this?

I've seen this before. I think it's something to do with the public_html permissions or something like that. Check your public_html permissions and maybe check the Mambo index permissions. It's a stab in the dark but it's worth a shot!

Check out this page for more info:

I installed Mambo to my public_html folder.

EDIT: I got it, I just had to change the permission.

I get this error as well trying to install Etomite CMS. Is there a solution? Changing the permissions doesn't work for me.

Help please.

I pointed this out long before some realised this problem. But none lissned (They thought I was stupid) I am very happy that this topic came up. If you didn't know installing mambo from the Scripts Librey will not cause any errors. I tried to contact Corey but he didn't seem to care. This is a problem with Fatasitico Premissions on the server.

I hope this post gets Coreys Attantion.
