Mambo Problems

I have noticed that if your Mambo Config file is set to unwriteable and mambo recieves an update, it crashes your entire site!

this is because the update can't find the config file, consequently creatign a new config file and corrupting the system... I know... it happened to me before i could backup my site...

to fix it i think go into cpanel>filemanger once clicked a pop up should come up look for www then click the foulder then click the mambo foulder icon were the files are go in to that then log or a config.php file click the text then click set permissions clikc that set to 777 or select all the boxes. the file is now rightable

yeah, just CHMOD all of your files to 777.

that can be done from adminastration>config

Only chmod what you know you can though
