Manual WordPress installation database error

So I manually installed Wordpress a couple of days ago with no issues at all. I was working on creating a custom theme today when I started to experience database connection issues. Now when I try to access that site, it brings me to the WordPress installation page again and wants me to go through the process of a new installation. When I do try, it throws up errors saying it already exists. Each time I try to access the page, it brings me to the new installation steps but always errors out.

How do I fix this??

I and many others are having issues, literally most recent threads in here are about it. I have automatic wp install via cpanel and I have the same issue as you. Had it for day now, still no mysql server. Hence it doesnt make the connection and directs you to install. https://x10hosting.com/community/threads/the-mysql-server-is-currently-offline.199231/
