If you are new to building websites my suggestion would be to download a template. You would have to have a program that would edit the template ie dreamweaver, first page, front page ect.

Once you have your template close to how you like then you would set up an FTP account through your cpanel. Then i myself use a program called filezilla to upload my site.

Now when uploading your site you want to upload the index.html or index.php to your home/yourname/public_html. This would include a CSS Style if it has one. If your template has an image folder upload the entire folder to the same location home/yourdomainname/public_html.

Then if you need to edit the index file you would click on it and use code edit to edit the content in the index file ie. your website.

If you need any help after getting that far or even prior to getting that far do not hesitate to ask here in the forums. The Staff or any of the members of the community will be more than willing to help you.

x10Hosting is really good in this, if you want to know how to setup your uploading etc. login to your control panel and as you find any thing difficult to understand just mouse over it, it gives you the option to get started on it.

And also they are providing videos for making it extremely easier and understand able.

First of all some html and css knowledge should help: visit: www.w3schools.com

If you want a site primarily for blogging, then a CMS like wordpress [wordpress.org]will make things easier for you, Read up on their site. They provide detailed instructions,

Microsoft's Frontpage or macromedia's Dreamweaver should help create static [normal unchanging sites] HTML pages in "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" format. Your can read up on these on the product's respective web pages. Frontpage is better for beginners.

x10hosting runs cpanel, so you can use the graphical file manager to upload you files like you would on windows.

Remember your site should have: 1> index.htm [your home page] in the /public_html "folder" [rather called directory]

-hope this helps
