MB String Support?

Is there any reason in particular that multibyte strings are disabled in PHP or is that just something that hasn't been enabled because I am doing some PHP and plan on running a CMS blog, it's recommended for PHP operations on Unicode.

I would really appreciate it and hope you could add this if there is no particular reason for disabling it, thanks for your time or decision.

Really sorry about that, didn't have access for a day there power went out and I ended up going to my friend's cottage 'til tonight.

Yeah, the extension is working perfectly now thanks a ton. I'll let you know if I come across any other needed extensions but until then awesome. Again, thanks.
