Mod_Security tweak needed

I am having an issue with mod_security, I'm running a forum and well it's disconcerting when no one can post to it. We get a 404 error. please help.

This is the exact error that we are getting when trying to make a simple post to our forum that we are running.

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forum/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
